Can anyone recommend a (safe) parking lots at/near Lausanne train station? Is there an 'offical' one?
I have to fly out of Geneva airport for a long weekend, and I've heard parking at the airport itself can easily fill-up at times... train seems like the best option, but need to car to get down off the mountain.
I fly out Wednesday afternoon.

I was flying out of Geneva airport every two weeks for the last 2 years (stopped doing it so regular since Xmas) never once been unable to park at the airport. I used to park in car park P1 which was right next to the airport. Also used P51 or P26 which are a very short walk away.

Don't bother with the train, driving and parking there is much easier. Up to you though.

an update...
I did end up driving to the airport. Got there about midday wednesday.
P1 and P51 were both full... ... this was not good as i was rushing to make my flight...

but the nice people at europe-car took my big silver beast (aka range rover) parked it, washed it and got it back form me.

cost just over CHF120... for over 4 days parking, the wash and the convenience of it all. This seemed pretty close to the rate i'd have paid just for parking the car myself.

I agree that it is easier to park at the airport.

For future reference, there is a car park at Lausanne train station. It's just behind it (i.e. lakeside).

Don't know the tarifs off by heart but it is quite expensive from what I remember (like all the car parks in Lausanne!)
