| | Moving from CH to USA. Moving Cos.?
Hi,
I am moving from Zürich back to the US (Boston) this Spring and I am looking for a reliable, reasonably priced international moving company to transport some of my furniture back.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Also, if there are any movers you advise I should stay away from (i.e. an unpleasant personal experience), please share! Greatly appreciated! |

I tried doing a EF search for "moving company". Two applicable answers
came up within the first few posts. Give it a try.
Have a good move!

I used a company called "Shipping International" on the way here twice, and
they were excellent. It was VERY, VERY easy. It was a container that one has to pack himself. http://www.shippinginternational.com/
The website says "shipping to" so I don't know if they do "from".

Have a good move! | | | | | Might have been helpful to give the links to those articles if you're actually going to mention them!
p.s. My wife is moving to Boston this summer, hence my "reappearance" and my comments.

We were relocated with Champion (US company) who use Interdean to the physical move- we found Interdean to be throughly professional, very friendly and actually quite eager to help. Not sure how expensive they are though- work paid for the relocation.

Interdean moved us from Antwerp to Evian last year = cannot speak too highly of them; they were friendly, punctual, professional and NOTHING was broken.
However, the unpackers here did untold damage!!! The insurance [provided by Interdean Bruxelles] paid up without any squabble at all.

We recently moved from the US to CH. We used MSMove. Everything went extremely well except for one thing. The representative in Geneva (Max) failed to provide updates, gave bad or completely wrong information and in general was the laziest person we have ever met. One example was him telling us our container was on the ship and would arrive in 3 weeks. Our car was in the container as well as house hold goods.
The container didn't arrive for 9 weeks. We were forced to rent a car, buy furniture and worse yet, talk to Max who continued to feed us bad info. The movers on both sides we outstanding. They unpacked us, placed our furniture for us and we very pleasant. The only thing I would recommend is stay away from a moving coordinator named Max.
