General Abonnement - paying by REKA

This follows this thread here about the GA and REKA cheques, and I thought I'd share the response I got from SBB as I too happen to be in the market fore a GA using REKA cheques:

Ref.: KUDI2624669

Dear Mr. <redacted>

Thank you for your e-mail.

The GA in subscription may not be paid for by Reka cheques. Each month an invoice is sent and may only be settled by a direct debit through a postal or bank account, or by paying-in slip.

A GA annual price may be purchased at the ticket counter by part payment using a credit card ( the card holder must be present in order to sign) and the remainder may be paid in Reka cheques. This only applies to GA's purchased entirely at the ticket counter and for an annual price.

Hoping to have been of service and wishing you a pleasant day.

Kind regards

Anybody keen in disposing off their REKA cheques at a decent rate to me ?

Re: General Abonnement - paying by REKA

We get our Reka checks at Coop. It is only 3% but for a full GA and a partner GA it adds up. There are available at most bigger Coops. The only problem is you can only get 1000.- CHF at a time.

Re: General Abonnement - paying by REKA

My previous employer sold REKA checques at 20% discount, to a limit of 1000 Franks worth a year. It is worth asking youir employer if they have something similar. I had no problem using them to pay for my GA.
