Campervan Hire

Hi all,
Has anyone got any recommendations for a company in Switzerland who hire out campervans? I am thinking of taking one back to England for a couple of weeks due to accommodation issues.

Many thanks

Re: Campervan Hire

You could try Carevasion in Lausanne. You can check out the website, www.carevasion.ch, but it is only in French. The guy who runs it is pretty good and he speaks French, German and a little bit of English.
They seem to have a good range of different sized vehicles from the smaller vans to the big mobile homes.

Re: Campervan Hire

I would guess it would be much cheaper renting one in the Uk and flying. Gas and ferry for one if these would be expensive.

Re: Campervan Hire

You could try getting something directly in the UK. I have seen a few places offering Retro VW vans for hire. They seem popular and look pretty cool. Not sure how expensive. Otherwise there is always the tent option.

I have one myself. Maybe we could drive there together?

To be serious: Look around along/behind the German border - there are several companies there that rent out campervans for much cheaper than in Switzerland.
