Blue Zone Permit - Leased Car Challenge!

I have a UK car in Zurich and have been using a 40 day pass that you get when you first register for a Work Permit. I went to the traffic office to get an annual Blue Zone and they told me that was not possible because I have a leased car, and the name on the Log Book is the name of the Finance House, not me.
It did not seem to matter that the lease is exclusively to me and that it is very common in the UK to source a car in this manner i.e no hassle especially with inclusive manitenance and you get a new car every 2 years.
Does anyone know of any way round this, or do I just have to accept matters and go and look for an underground parking option. I live in Seefeld. Any suggestions gratefully appreciated.

Easiest solution would be to rent a space in an underground car park, at least then you wont have to drive a dozen times around the neighborhood every time you need a find a parking space in the evening. If your car is insured here in Switzerland check to see if you can get a discount because of the indoor parking. Mine does with both my home and work having underground car parks.
