Car import to CH via Belgium?

I'm contemplating the importation of a US car and I understand that it's much less expensive to have it delivered to a port such as Antwerp then drive it into Switzerland myself.

My question concerns how I would present this car to the Belgian customs authorities. I'll have my Swiss 18.44 and the attendant paperwork but I don't know if I can get some sort of transit permit for Belgium and France. I saw one reference to Swiss vehicle importation from overseas requiring the use of a bonded agent to transport the vehicle in a sealed container into CH whereupon it would then be subject to customs inspection.

For those of you who have imported cars from a non-EU country, how did you handle getting the car from a foreign port to the Swiss border?
