Have found a car for sale in the UK that is on Swiss Tourist plates. The owner did this because it allows you to not pay the VAT.

Now, I have all the registration documents (the brown card that has all the details of the car on it) but wondering what the process would be for bringing the car back into Switzerland?

I know I would need to pay the VAT (but presumably not the import duty because it was never exported?) but then what would the process be for getting new plates? Just the same as any other car?

Also, what would the insurance situation be? Forgive all the questions but my knowledge of Swiss motoring laws is not great!
