I bought mine from... I think it was at Jumbo.

I would think that any hornbach or migros brico loisir would have them too.

2 weeks is awfully short for a battery to go out. You might have something (an alarm) draining juice faster than usual or the battery may be on its way out. A typical car should last a month without a drive and still crank up.

Conrad Electronics has got to have one. Amazing store and cheap too. We were looking for a multimeter and they were less than 1/3 of the price in Coop Bau and Hobby.

Please note that the DIY department at Migros is Called Do It + Garden. I love the Do It part. Formerly it was called Do It Yourself, but then some jerk thought shorter is better.

Do It + Garden is no comparison to B&Q especially for heavy building materials.
The nearest I have found is the Co-Op Do It All.
You have to keep going in these shops looking for silly 50% Action offers on tools. Sometimes you pick up a real bargains.

Disconnect both the positive and negative from the battery before connecting the battery charger up. You could do damage to the ECU and other components otherwise.

Maybe you misconstrued my post. I did not say I love the Do It + Garden department of Migros. I said I love the Do It part of the name, because it's something that must have been created by someone who has no idea of the English language. Could be outdone only by Screw Me + Garden.

Never heard of this? I have a adaptor system on my bike that allows me to charge this without the hassle of takign of fairing parts, unbolting the seat etc... to get to the battery oooh and a tool kit (which is a bit late as you've used at least 4 tools to get to the kit).

However if you do disconnect the battery, remove the EARTH first, then the positive. Safer this way as the whole car is attached to the earth.

On this topic now myself.

OBI appear to do one for 60chf which also has a lamp and air compressor for wheel inflation etc. I think I'll get that tomorrow.

Migros Do It appear to have a similar one, but for 100chf.

Landi have some for 25 & 50chf, but these appear to be the old school ones, which are less versatile.

The others Baummarkt, Hornbach & Jumbo will of course have some, just no exact details online.

Actually that OBI link is for DE, and so in Euros.

Migros Do It , for 100chf is likely the general price here.

29,90 from Landi (something like Micromaxx brand) and Aldi (Tevion brand) ..... it's basically the same and I would guess (judging by the packaging) it's effectively produced by Medion.

Small and compact and has auto cut-off - which is good for continuous connection. I use it with my bike battery in winter.

Thanks, was in an Aldi today, didn't see Tevion but they had one called "Auto XS" for 60chf. Reviews seemed not great for what I would want it for however.

One charger which does get mentioned in a few places as being the best is the CTEK MXS 5.0 - not sure where it's sold in shops however.

The problem with the Tevion one from Aldi, is that it's not a regularly stocked item, but appears on their actions list several times throughout the year - but in the couple of stores I use, there often seems to be residual stock, somewhere, buried in the racks.
This will vary from store to store, though.

The one I'm referring to, looks so:

Unless you have a positive ground vehicle. ;)

It might be an idea to try and get someone to jump start you first, go for a drive (half an hour during daylight hours to avoid excessive drain on the battery) and then leave it overnight.

If it's dead in the morning the issue might be a battery fail (assuming the alternator is working well) at least then you could put the 50 or 60 chf into a new battery...

Just in case.....
