commuting Nussbaumen/Birr: point-to-point travelpass enough?

Hi everybody!! Iīm moving to Switzerland on February, I will live in Nussbaumen(Baden) but I will work in Birr. To go to my job I have to take a bus to the Baden station and after take a train to Birr. Is valid the point-to-point travelpass for the train and buses? or I need to take another travelpass?

Thank you

Re: Moving to Switzerland

I believe one pass will cover your requirements, at least within Aargau. Check out this thread and the link within it (only in German, I'm afraid -- hope that's OK) for more information.

Nussbaumen is an odd choice of location if you work in Birr....guess you have your reasons.

You don't need German to look at the zone plan.

Baden/Nussbaumen is in zone 570. Birr is in zone 551. You also have to pay for zones you cross through, so it looks to me like you need to pay for 4 zones. Ouch!

Not a bad option, just perhaps not the most logical one in terms of the commute. But to each his own, as they say.

For my money, I'd have gone for Brugg if I worked in Birr. You are that much closer to Birr (only 2 zones), your money goes at least as far for accommodation as in Nussbaumen, and there are pretty good train connections for Zürich, Basel and Bern, as well as Baden.
This user would like to thank rcp27 for this useful post:
