Hmm, you may not pass the test. I think they require the applicant to be able to use at least one type of punctuation mark.

Getting a scooter or thinking of getting a scooter?
Certainly in the UK there is basic training you have to take before driving on the roads.
The best (non regulation related, I know) advice is treat all other road users as if they are trying to kill you. Wear a fluorescent bib (you'll look like a cock), for a while. Think of taking some further training. It only takes a few words of advice over certain situations that could arise and this could save you some suffering.

Re: List of things i need to be able to drive a scooter

If you have a Swiss Drivers license (for a car) then you need to do about 8 practical lessons on a scooter at a recognised school. You then do a practical test . This only applies for a max 125 cc scooter license.

If it's a question you use a question mark. At the end of every sentence you put a full stop. It also helps if you write smaller sentences. Basically, (comma) in forums you write as in real life.

Re: List of things i need to be able to drive a scooter

Hi Kazu,
I got a scooter last year.
If you have an European driving licence you only need to go to a driving school, apply for the A1 licence. If you have a B one, you have to take 8 hours of practical lessons and get the licence without any test. It costed me 300 CHF.
As far as I understood, it works differently if you have a non EU Driving licence.
Hope this helps

And a sense of humour.

Ask a silly question and you get a silly answer. Have you searched these forums? Have you made enquiries with the people who actually are best qualified to help you, being the relevant kantonal motor transport office? EF is not an definitive answer-all service, and certainly not reliable. Licensing and registration requirements change all the time, and people at the motor transport office are PAID to answer your questions helpfully and truthfully with up-to-date information.

You profile says your in Geneva...so ask these people:

It isn't a 'must'. Especially for non-native English speakers we appreciate that it isn't easy to write perfect English with neither spelling nor punctuation mistakes.

I know that we are sometimes a bit critical, but if you are asking questions on here, it's simply a good idea to make the text easy to read. Apart from that, 'clever' replies to EFrs may put people off answering next time round.

Wow, I'm so glad to see the EF Grammar Squad cracking down on this blatant misusage of the English language. You guys really don't have anything better to do, than criticizing this boy's grammar?!

You're missing the point. My response wasn't motivated by grammar, rather by the OP's quest for Free Beer.
