Long-term Car Rental

Hello!

My husband and I are trying to figure out the best way to rent a car for a couple of months in the Zurich area. I have searched online, and have not been able to find any reasonable prices. Does anyone know or can anyone recommend a way to find a good deal on renting a car. Alternatively, is anyone interested in renting their car out for the next couple of months.

Thank you for your help!!

Re: Long-term Car Rental

Because it involves a lot of money, this may be a situation where getting in touch with a travel agent could pay off. You have nothing to lose.

Good luck.

Re: Long-term Car Rental

i believe you can do short/long term leases from Renault and Peugeot if you are a non EU resident. One of my mates did this for a few months and worked really well. Good luck!

Re: Long-term Car Rental

Try www.autoeurope.com and choose to pick up in town and not at the airport to avoid a lot of extra taxes.

Re: Long-term Car Rental

Will you be using it everyday? There are various options if you don't need a daily set of wheels but want the ease of having one on call. Mobility may help, but it's perhaps easier to go the whole hog and get one from a hire company. Unirent in Zurich are an affordable Mom and Pop style outfit. They currently offer CHF1390 for a VW Golf for 30 days. Ask at Hertz and Sixt, too.
