Too big and there are a lot better options out there.
Not to mention Jeep replacing their design department with a gaggle of visually impaired chimpanzees with crayons.

I mean lets face it - looks wise, most SUV's are the sort of big eared, slightly cross eyed inbred cousins of the vehicle world, but the Jeep commander takes it to a whole new level of wrong.

Re: Feedback on a 2007 Jeep Commander 4.7 V8 Sport

Old thread, but would like to give my opinion on this.

I have owned a GC in UK and CH. Currently own a Jeep commander.

The 2006 GC diesel and commander diesel engine is made by Mercedes and is absolutely brilliant. The transmission was by Mercedes too. No issues whatsoever. Still own the Commander and loving it. Unstoppable in snow with Quadra drive 2 system. Excellent ride with an old school look.

2014 GC engine was from vittari motors (Italian make). The air suspension had issues. The Mercedes unit sounded much better in the Commander.

Op can message me if he needs more info.

If you bought the 4.7, please let me know how you like it. I heard that 5.7 HEMI was much better since the fuel consumption is almost the same with the latter with more power.

I would like to buy a JEEP commander (Year 2006 - 2009). Anyone willing to share any experience of having one? Specially on the reliability issues.. I am looking at the 3.0 CRD Limited model.

I know there are loads of car experts here on the EF

Cheers
Hope you bought the commander. Greetings from another commander owner (until at least the other half passes the driving test).

Sent you a PM reference organising a Jeep meet

Considering the OP hasn't posted in 10 years I doubt you'll hear from him.

And last posts from Gamebuwa 2 years ago, he was driving a Merc.
