So can you pass the German driving test?

http://www.fahrschule.de/Testbogen/

These theory tests are very similar to Swiss requirements.

Re: So can you pass the German driving test?

Dear Ittigen,

Thanks a lot for the link! Do you have any idea if there is any possibility of taking driving lessons here in English? I mean having the chance to do the theory test in English?

Cheers

Re: So can you pass the German driving test?

Did anyone need a driving test before getting a license? I've heard this from a few foreigners in my German class.

When I first inquired about a license, they asked for a form to be filled out and a eye test from an authorized eye doctors office. I sent in those two forms and a photo along with my California Drivers License and fees. After a week or so, I received my Cal. License back with a red stamp on the back saying it was not valid in Switzerland, and my shinny new Swiss license!

I talk to people now and they tell me about the tests and other mountains they need to climb to get their licenses??

it is if you dont do it within a year you have to redo the whole thing. Some license are not recognized here so redo the test here. etc etc

I could pass the road test, but the written theory part I don't think I could pass it unless I really studied for it a good while ahead of time.

Probably not, truth be known, but they let me get a license anyway.
