Anyone driving to Germany [Stuttgart] on 27th May?

Hi,

The departure time of my flight at Stuttgart airport is at 11.35 on 27th May, so I need to be there at about 10.00. I live in Zug, but I can travel to Zürich, or whereever not so far away from me. Of course I will pay the fees.

Thanks

The train ride from Zurich to Stuttgart is really reliable and fast, takes about 3 hours. Not expensive either.

for the train leaving at 07:10, arr. at Stuttgart Hbf 10:06 there are special tickets from the deutsche bahn for only 19 euros.
You can shop online or at the office from the deutsche bahn at militärstrasse 36,
zurich

Thanks very much for Anaustralien and blackbird.

Yes, I know "the train leaving at 07:10, arr. at Stuttgart Hbf 10:06 there are special tickets from the deutsche bahn for only 19 euros."

The problem is, the arrival time of the train from Stuttgart Hbf to Stuttgart airport is 10:42! I'm afraid it's a bit too late to do the check-in things. Besides, the trains can be several minutes late!

The only other option is to travel there the night before and get a room?

I'm too lazy to check the spelling right now asam not totally sober, but I'm currently in Stuttgart and got here from Basel yesterday using Mitfahrgelegenheit - it's a car pooling thing popular in Germany.

Re: Anyone driving to Germany [Stuttgart] on 27th May?

Has anyone ever had the experience of taking the train leaving at 07:10 from Zürich HB, arr. at Stuttgart Hbf 10:06, and then taking S3 to Stuttgart airport? How are the punctualities of the trains?

And, when arriving at Stuttgart airport at 10:42, the departure time of my flight is at 11.35 (the last check-in is 40 minutes before flight, which means, the Lufthansa checkin counter will be closed at 10:55), will I have enough time to do the check-in things?

Thanks!

That's what I would do!

Even if you make it to the counter with seconds to spare, there are still the security lines!

If all trains are on time, you will have 13 minutes to check in. If you don't know the airport (and walking distance) very well, I wouldn't do it.
