Sorry, I was too narrow in the description...when I do the same that your picture shows, I can put departure as Zurich but then it only gives me UK destinations. Same for you or different?? Thanks for checking!

It's making me feel a bit insane/doltish. Then again, 6 weeks in to my move here, I'm in the "can't anything be easy??" phase of the experience!
When you enter your departure airport it will then only show destinations you can go to from that airport on their scheduled flights, ie ZRH> LGW, LTN etc
Its not a taxi service that you can order to any destination unfortunately

The risky side of posting on forums...when one is being a dolt it's out there for all to see!

But all's well that ends with a flight from Basel to Barcelona booked...

Salud!

Re: Easyjet tip

Yep - no longer works. In fact, flights are more expensive if you make the system price internally in sterling by using my method.

Cheapest prices are now available simply by selecting your origin and destination. Like normal. It was good while it lasted and I saved quite a bit

Re: Easyjet tip

It still worked for me. I just reserved a flight for my brother and I to Tel-Aviv and the flight by itself was 345 CHF per person. After starting with other flights to London, then adding the Tel-Aviv flights I wanted, and erasing the London flights: 338 CHF per person. 7 francs, I know, but it's something.

Re: Easyjet tip

So I did the opposite. I'm flying single from EDI to GVA and by putting the Swiss destination in first and cancelling, I saved 15CHF!

Re: Easyjet tip

So this doesn't work anymore but has anyone noticed that if you book a return rather than a single the individual flight prices are lower?

If I pretend I'm doing a return EDI to GVA to ED the price is 53CHF for the EDI to GVA leg. If I do just an EDI to GVA the price is 73CHF!

Re: Easyjet tip

Due to the rapid fall of the Pound this trick works again.

Return from BSL to KRK comes up at 160CHF for the dates I'm interested in. Using xe.com, pricing in UKP comes in at 140 CHF.

Re: Easyjet tip

I booked flights on Monday for tomorrow returning on Wednesday. As it was a split ticket (dept GVA return to BSL) I was playing around with which order to book the flights in, using an article on the subject on MSE website...

http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/easyjet-tricks

Two individual flights worked out at GBP 109.

Then I booked BSL-MAN out and rtn, selected the 'additional flights' tab and added GVA-MAN out and rtn, then deleted the sectors I didn't need. That brough the fare down to GBP 96.

Then I slected the MAN-BSL rtn flight sector only which makes the whole booking GBP by default, then selected 'additional flights' and added the GVA-MAN outbound sector. Final fare I paid is GBP 83.80.

It was my job for 10yrs. If you get a kick out of finding that needle in the haystack, and have a 'play with it til it breaks' mindset, business travel is the job for you

Porsch! Aperol spritz or double vodka with red bull for me please!

Can you believe it ... not one beer from this thread despite all the promises in black and white (or black and a wishy-washy blue).
