| | BMW wow...
Ordered a BMW X1 in February ... told it would arrive in July.
July arrived and BMW tell us they very sorry they sold too many, ours wont arrive until September....
To make amends they've given us an X3 to drive around until our car arrives...
Wow, I like BMW...

Wow I want one too!
Back home when you had to have your car (Mercedes, BMW or Audi) and you did it at the original dealership they also gave you a car to drive until yours was ready...cool! |

My local BMW dealer (Garage Hollenstein AG) gave us a brand new BMW 330d for a weekend long test drive. BMW dealers are pretty cool like that |

The design of that BMW X1 is really gorgeous.
A few months back I saw quite a few of those around but somehow they've disappeared from the road ... was there something the matter with them?

They made small children cry due to their ugliness and utter pointlessness. |

I was too scared to damage it and too worried my husband would actually buy one, so we didn't take him up on the offer. You see the demo car out all the time with different people driving it - so it must be a great way to get sales.

On the MSN Cars website it suggests either the Perodua Kelisa or Proton Savvy as alternatives to the BMW X1 |

I have been visiting around major BMW dealers in Zurich and get worked up with idea of getting a diesel version 320d Touring which makes my budget yo hit the roof. It seems like there are many 320i's abandoned in garages as everyone is targeting the diesel models. Not being overtly prejudice towards fuel injection vehicles but it seems like lower torque (power) is a serious drawback of this model, nevermind slightly higher fuel consumption. Would you personally go for slightly cheaper 320i version or forget it and wait for new 320d version?

The 320d is a cracking car - superb performance, excellent economy.
However if you like a wider power curve the petrol model will be more enjoyable to drive.
For 95% of people 95% of the time - the 320d is better than the 320i

Well, I made my life easier falling into X1 xDrive2.0d in last minute in the salon. Well this "little pointless vehicle" some would say, it's really cute design wise and road handling is pretty good too (test driven) Only drawback is a little more noise from the engine but I guess it's inevitable sensation of driving the SUV redesigned from the 1-series. I'm really considering this car and it's time to make up one's mind by the 25th of Sept as the special from BMW expires on that date. Pitty only that the lead times are awefully long. Can get Touring 320d within 2 months though so I don't know anymore... Help help decisions decisions |

Wow, I like BMW... | | | | | In Japan when the Toyota I bought wasn't ready they gave me a car to drive. The car I bought wasn't even expensive, nothing flash. If there is a delay in delivery, I would expect a solution.

I just can't get my head around spending that kind of money on a car. To each his own, as they say.
