Left Switzerland, use driving license, it got stolen, help!

Hello,

I would love to be living in Switzerland but I am not. I left in 2015.

I do have good friends. I do want to return. And I use my swiss driving lisence all the time.

On friday I was robbed and now it's gone.

Is there any way I can get a copy back?

I think it's hopeless, but is there a sneaky way that might work?

I lived in Canton Zurich.

help!

Re: Leaving Switzerland - Driving License

Did you get the stolen license by passing the ordinary Swiss driving test, the full program? Or did you get it based on a license you got in some other country?

Re: Leaving Switzerland - Driving License

1) report your swiss license as lost and request a new one (before moving)
2) keep that new one
3) give the swiss to UK authorities for a UK one

Now you have 2 valid licenses.

If you left Switzerland in 2015, you should not still be using that licence. It is invalid a year after leaving and should be exchanged for the country's that you are living in.

God knows how you'd go about getting it replaced when you no longer live here. Which country did you take you test in? Might be easier to try and get a new one there somehow.
