Car hire with different drop off locations

Hi all

I'm looking to hire a car in jan and drive from Zurich to visp and then do the return journey (following some good skiing) a week later. I was going to do this by hiring a car for each leg of the journey as taking the train with my two small kids would would be a nightmare.

I've looked at europecar but the prices are stupidly high, does anyone know of others companies which do a better deal?

Thanks

Check whether it is cheaper to rent the van for a week and return it to the station you do the pick up from. ie. don't book 2 single trips.

Also if you have a UBS bank account you get a discount with Europcar, or if you work for Credit Suisse or if you have a halbtax.

Hertz or Avis have a supplement especially for skiing locations. I saw it mentioned on their website once, try looking in the conditions perhaps (you can do this during the quote process).

How about Mobility? Have a look. It might work and might be cheaper.

I haven't checked recently, but due to Mobility's pricing structure, I think it works out more expensive, as you are charged by both time and distance. I am happy if someone says I am wrong....but hiring a Skoda combi for a week is about 200CHF (of course minus all those insurances I suppose), and I don't think Mobility can do cheaper than that.

But LOVE Mobility for smaller journeys - used it extensively when I first moved here for those apartment moves and Dietlikon furniture trips. :-)
