It looks like my GF's car would need a new head gasket (we're starting to find oil in the coolant). My understanding is that the head gasket in itself is a fairly inexpensive part however replacing it is labour intensive.

Given the age of the car (a 12 years old Renault Clio 1.9d) we would only do the repair if it made economic sense, which, given Swiss garage rates would not be the case, hence the idea to look at the other side of the border.

Can anyone recommend a small garage on the French side of Geneva that could do this on the cheap?
