As far as I know from this forum, I can legally drive them in Switzerland on British plates, with British insurance, green card, tax & MoT as a tourist until I have a permit to stay which is probably less than 90 days.

As long as you are not a resident of Switzerland.... and you carry your and your car's papers with you at al times...

yes you can have your british car here for 12 months as long as its legal in the uk its legal here, iirc you can apply to extend the 12 months too.

We had our brit cars here way over 12 months before we sold one of them, and registered the other. We did start getting comments from people in our village about the lenght of time they had been here, but never had any problems with police, border crossings etc etc, I worked with one guy who had his uk car here over 5 years.
