Things may have changed from the 2008 threads I found in search... but hey this is Switzerland.

We are flying out of Basel in April and will be away for a week. it's quite an early flight so travelling to Basel the evening before is a good option, but I've drawn a blank with park & stay hotels so would be grateful for any suggestion/ recommendation/pointers.

That may be an option, but I was hoping for the type where you stay the night and get the parking included.

Any chance of leaving your vehicle at home and using public transport (train?) to get to Basel. The bus 50 goes begins its runs from the SBB to the airport early enough to allow for the first flight out in the morning.

The "Airport Hotel Basel" came up on a few different search results.

I didn't think anywhere in Switzerland was far from public transport. That's one of the things I love about living here.

Papa Goose, another option is to just leave your car in a street in Basel, close to a 50 bus stop - one of the parking spaces that has the correct colour paint for being able to just park. (Not sure, but think that is the case directly outside my apartment building. )

Train means leaving at silly o'clock and up to 3 trains and a bus and a 2.5 - 3 hour journey.....when it's a 1 hour and 10 minute drive door to door.
