Fondation Bayeler Art Museum Basel

Finding very little about the Fondation Bayeler on EF, I wanted to tell you about my enjoyable visit there. I was in the Basel area last week (dropping off relatives at the Basel Mulhouse Freiburg Euroairport) and decided to visit the Segantini exhibition at the Fondation Bayeler. There is an underground car park right opposite the museum, which is in a small town/suburb just outside Basel. The exhibition was great and we saw some of the permanent collection (part was closed for rearranging). I very much liked the building with the rooms full of natural light from above and some rooms looking out on to the small lake with lovely grounds outside. After viewing the collection we had a cup of tea in the cafe and found the staff helpful.

Not a destination for small children but a great place for art lovers.

The Segantini exhibition continues until April 25th.
