Holiday Apartment - Basel

Hi,

This year for Fasnacht I will be staying with a friend. I was thinking next year I would maybe rent a self-cater holiday apartment somewhere close to town - and big enough that Mrs Nickatbasel and Nickatbasel Jnr. could stay over 1 or 2 of the nights.

Google threw up a couple of alright looking places - one near Habsburgerstrasse which puts me nicely on the 1/14 route and another out towards Birsfelden which is perhaps a little far out.

I wonder if anyone has a recommendation for a place they actually stayed at.

Cheers,
Nick

There are a couple of hotels in the centre, Hotel Basel and an apart hotel in Rumleinplatz. Otherwise I generally use booking.com for finding places since they aggreagate hotel availability sites.

Re: Holiday Apartment - Basel

Hi. I'm new on here. We've just moved and we stayed in Basel for about two weeks while DH was doing orientation. We stayed in fully furnished apartments complete with kitchen. They had one, two and four bedroom ones which would be more than big enough for your family. It was on Barenfelsterstrasse. Here's a link if you want to have a look: http://www.sletoh.com/hotel/Transcom...ion-33941.html

It wasn't too expensive either. Happy holidays!
