Re: Ticino

When do you intend to go ? I have 3/4 of a day to spend in Lugano / Bellinzona / Locarno before going to Paris by train from Milano Friday 18th night. Was thinking of PostBus and train tours.

Re: Ticino

A Tageskarte might be a good thing to get - unlimited travel - say from Locarno to Brig via Domodossola as well as Postauto tours included.

Well, I'm going to Swiss Miniatur ( they opened today ) first thing in the morning by boat. Weather is predicted to be rain-free - yay!

Re: Ticino - travel companion(s) sought for trip

Some useful links to plan your Ticino trip:

http://www.centovalli.ch/ FART timetables

http://www.trenitalia.com/cms/v/inde...0080a3e90aRCRD - Train timetables ( IT )

http://www.navlaghi.it/home_e.html Boat timetables

If you can afford to include Stresa, IT - I'd suggest a boat and train combo:

Stresa-Domodossola-Locarno by train / FART then boat from Locarno-Stresa or boat from Stresa-Locarno then FART / train from Locarno-Domodossola-Stresa.

Buon viaggio!

I generally prefer to travel around Ticino by motorcycle.
