Recommendation for a good hotel in Lucerne

Hi,

Can anyone suggest a good hotel for a family in Lucerne for a couple of days in May?. Also, with only 2 days in Lucerne what would you recommend visiting?

Thanks.

Re: Recommendation for a good hotel in Lucerne

How much are you thinking of spending?

Many of the famous hotels in the city centre or lakeside are 4 or 5 star, and aren't cheap, that's not to say there aren't bargains to be had in town, plenty of cheaper hotels.

The Hotel des Alpes on Rathausquai is a good all round option. Mid-price Central for the town centre and old town. Not far from the station. It is next door to the Mr Pickwicks English Bar.
