Visiting BMW World - Munich

Has anyone been to BMW Welt in Munich? I've been browsing their website and it looks like my version of heaven.. factory tours, a museum and exhibition centre and the best thing is that you can rent any Beemer you like by the hour from only 16. Its Disney World for guys

If there is enough interest, we could perhaps organise an EF trip there one weekend.

Fantastic! Never heard of this til now. Mr Lemondrizzle and the Lemondrizzle Kid are both big BMW fans and will love this. My idea of hell but I might pack the two of them off for a trip.

That's true. But if Mercedes did something similar I'd probably rent a car which is worth more than 50k, just like if this BMW trip works out the M3 is mine so back off people!

Re: Visiting BMW World - Munich

Wait wait wait....did I read this right?

'RESERVE YOUR DRIVING EXPERIENCE.
YOU PAY ONLY 4 HOURS FOR A DAY (9:00AM – 6:00PM) AND 2 HOURS FOR A NIGHT (6:00PM – 9:00AM). '

I'm sold...

Where are the age restrictions to burst my bubble?

Re: Visiting BMW World - Munich

That's awesome idea. Although a bit far but it will be fun. Now, M1 and M3 will be the first ones on my to do list to be checked out there. Then X6 hybrid and 645i cabrio. A bit of classic tour in the museum and being exposed to Bimmer's engine history won't hurt either

I am registering my interest. I will rent the black M3 or the Z4 35. Is there a track to take em round? I assume that's the point of an hourly rate?

Who needs a track when you have Der Autobahn?

Or the local Carrefour carpark to do doughnuts in the new X5. Damn, theyre going to rethink their rental policy after Team EF passes through.

Re: Visiting BMW World - Munich

BMW world is a great experience. We went there just before xmas.

Re. the "M1". I had a sneak pre look at our local dealer last weekend. They had it hidden in the basement, as it is not officially launced yet. Looked proper good in Alpine Weiss. If it wasn't because I had my heart set on a GT3 I would pick one of those up.
