Holiday Travel Pass for Kids

Possibly most of you with children in school in Zurich will know about this. But just in case you are coming over or your child never gives you letters from school (like my son), here's some info.

There is a pass that kids aged between aged between 6-16 can buy for chf20. They can travel anywhere within Zurich, all zones, on bus, train, tram and boat. It also gives them all sort of other entitlements like free entry to the zoo, or Alpamare for chf20 . Other bits and bobs like a free drink at McDonalds etc, There are quite a lot of discounts especially valuable if you have a larger family. This ticket is valid for the whole of the school holidays. (choose from 9th July - 14 August or 16th July - 21st August)

So check your childrens school bags, ours came home with the pamphlet today and all information can be found at www.zvv.ch/ferienpass

Thanks!

It's awesome to look at that website for the list of kid-related stuff that's available...I never knew there was indoor minigolf at Volketswil

Re: Holiday Travel Pass for Kids

Its great, when you have 3 near teenagers the things they want to do get so expensive. Least this way we will be able to tick off some of their 'to do' list.

Re: Holiday Travel Pass for Kids

Got the kids their pass today, so they are already off exploring and enjoying the freedom

But whilst I was looking at other things, stumbled upon another website listing loads of activities going on for kids. Take a look, you can specify the ages of the kids so you only get stuff relevant for them. Is some good stuff on there!

Just select you region on the right hand side and gives you all sorts of activities.

Interesting - do you know if it is for Zurich only, or are other Cantons covered somehow
Cheers

Re: Holiday Travel Pass for Kids

We just got ours this morning for Kanton Zurich, not sure about other Kantons.

You just need the kids' passports/ID when buying the tickets.

Great tickets, travel pass for kids and really good value
