Has anyone actually ever found a deal for the price advertised though?? I just looked for tonnes of dates, including leaving tomorrow, next week, and a few random ones in October and Nov, and each time was more than 99chf. I bet they have one single flight that costs 99chf, and the rest are tonnes more.. ..
but thanks for the post, the flights are pretty cheap regardless! |

Can recommend if flying with BA to book two singles as exchange rate is still out of date and the last time I flew it was 90CHF LHR-BSL whilst 129CHF BSL-LHR ????

Yes. We used to go to Barcelona quite often on 79/99 Francs "last minute" flights. The email would come in on Wed for flights over the weekend. We'd fly out Friday night or Sat morning and come back Sunday night.

I've noticed this is the second time they've done the 99CHF flights from Basel this year. Are these 99CHF deals a new thing this year, or do Swiss (Air) offer them regularly year in year out?

Sometimes there are more destinations, sometimes less.
Then my brother lived in BCN in 2004-2006... So, at least since 2003 from Geneva & Zurich. Don't know about Basel.

The best way to do these last minute flights it with just a carry on. Keep it with you at all times. But now that you bring it up: Barcelona is a den of thieves in many places, especially las rambas and the subway. Keep your valuables at home.
