Day Trip to Konstanz, Germany on June 13th

Hello Folks,

In order to take advantage of the up coming long weekend, I was thinking about taking the wife and 2 year old to Konstanz, Germany.

Main motivation to go there is for the Sealife Aquarium and also catch some local sights by just walking around.

Since we are only there for the afternoon any must see before you die recommendations (family friendly of course)?

Also, any other takers for this trip so that we can make an EF event out of it?

Thanks,

Stig

he was asking for stuff in Konstanz!

Anyways, Sealife is a bit boring. There are some Roman excavations on the Münsterplatz, the Archäologisches Landesmuseum is quite interesting, too. There are two large beer gardens, the more touristy one is directly at the harbor (Hafenhalle), the other, much nicer one is at the Seerhein ( http://www.stromeyer-die-bleiche.de/biergarten.html ) Not to miss: the Gelateria in Wessenbergstrasse

There's also a good potato restaurant called Tolle Knolle. Totally awesome.

Re: Day Trip to Konstanz, Germany on June 13th

We went a couple of weeks ago with a 3 yr old and a 20 month old - both loved the sea life centre (although it was very busy) and there is a nice playground on the lake side and nice wide pavements for little kids to enjoy a good run around. Cafes seemed child friendly too. To be honest it's hard to fit in much more in just an afternoon.
