liddle help here guys!

The apple of my eye, aka number II daughter is coming to visit this weekend.
Her first long distance drive with her new drivers-licence.
Plan "A" was to go camping on the Vierwalstättersee but the weather looks set to be crap.
So plan "B" is in effect.
She wants to come to Basel and there I have my problem, not per se but I really would not want her to see me in my likkle bed-sit and expose her to the inane ramblings of my crazy 300 Chuff landlady.
Soo I would be looking for a hotel for her, one that does not cost an arm and a leg.
Anybody know wallet-friendly digs?

Re: liddle help here guys!

She's welcome to stay at my place Saturday to Monday?

I'll be at my other half's place for the weekend so it will be empty anyway.

PM me if you want to take me up on the offer. The apartment is in central Basel.

Re: liddle help here guys!

you can check out www.bnb.ch for bed&breakfast's, possibly around 40-60 CHF.

or, http://www.myswitzerland.com/en/acco...sites-new.html for the camping stuff...

Re: liddle help here guys!

I know you have your problem solved, but tought I would also recommend this webpage www.couchsurfing.org
Check it out and you will see its a great option, in my single life I used to use it mostly for a "coffee", where i met wonderful local girls that showed me the basics of the city I was visiting. When my sister came to visit (she is only 18) I used it again to find an amazing swiss girl that went with her to concerts, clubs etc as I couldnt go because I just gave birth. The main focus is to find a couch to sleep and travel as much as you can without worrying about hotel costs. but when you cannot offer a bed or a couch you can also offer your company to show the "most visited" places of your city.
Search only for members that are reviewed and have the lock symbol as it means somebody from the organization has actually visited and it confirms they know who this person is and its safe to visit.

Re: liddle help here guys!

What a fantastic weekend, sadly I do not see my girl as often as I would like to, so to have her for a whole long weekend did just reeeeel good.
And thanks to my friends in Basel everything was more than perfect, I´ll not forget that guys and gals.
