Was on researching about outing possibilities for the National Day on 1st August and come aross this Swiss Path or Weg der Schweiz thingy. Has anyone done this trip before? It seems to be a hiking route (?) for a couple of small towns around the origin of Switzerland? What is the preferred way to see this region?

It's a two-day mainly rather flat route round the Urnersee. There are better walks...
