Looking for beautiful alp views by car.

I would like to bring my parents to a not too far place where they can be impressed by the majestic alps! they are from a flat region and never show something like this.
My questions is if you know any place we can go by car, or at least approach a lot, even if the last step is done by cable car.
I live in Olten so maybe some place in Luzern area?
Thank for your tips

Pilatus is close to Lucerne. You can go up by cable car or mountain railway. For a special trip, travel acroos the lake to Pilatus then up one way and down the other

If you drive to Alpnachstad you can take the mountain railway to the top of Pilatus.

Re: Beautiful Alp views by car

Drive over one of the passes. I prefer the Sustenpass and Grimsel to the Gotthard, they all have spectacular views, but if your father suffers from motion discomfort, there are a lot of twisting curves to drive. There's always the Jungfraujoch if you want the glacier view and all the tourist attractions, but be prepared for armies of Indian and Japanese visitors and a hefty price tag for the train ride.

If it has to be by car, try driving down to Glarus and up to the Klöntalersee. Or continue south beyond Glarus over Urnerboden and the Klausenpass. You don't always have to be high up to appreciate the views, good weather is your only prerequisite.
