I was looking at the RailAway offers on the sbb website. An example would be this.

In the prices tab on this link, I see that the price samples are for tickets valid for 3 days.

If anyone has ever bought one of these tickets, can they confirm whether this is the case.

Yes the tickets are valid for 3 days, but obviously you can only travel each section of your trip once (+ return).

But for example if you buy a railaway from Zürich to the olympic museum in Lausanne you can do the following:

Friday: Zurich - Bern, stay overnight
Saturday: Bern - Lausanne
Sunday: Lausanne - Zurich

Or

Friday: Zurich - Lausanne, stay 2 nights
Sunday: Lausanne - Zurich

Hope this helps. I often travelled like this, especially in winter with the snow & rail deals. Staying over with friends en-route on day 1, continue travel to the skiresort the next day, and go home on day 3.
