Weekend break from Geneva this weekend?

Leaving it a bit late obviously but anyone got any ideas of where to go this weekend for a bit of sunshine and a nice break.. could be by plane, car or train! Although plane prices are pretty silly now..

cheers

Drive to Belgium..Ostende has some serious seafood. It takes a little over 5h...well, 6h if you drive the speed limit.

Stay at home, go to the nearest lake. Why join the rest of Europe at the street party on the autobahn? Go to the sun when the schools are open again, - tough if you have children, or work at schools.

Re: Weekend break from Geneva this weekend?

How about a trip to Burgundy, stay in a guest house and do some walks, forecast is good and its 2 hours straight drive.
I should add if weather is bad, theres some seriously good cooking at really good prices in the area.

Legoland it is then, any tips, places to stay, places to stop on the way would be most helpful.

All the other places mentioned have been noted for next time

Cheers

That place is awesome, it reminds me of the EF.

By the way, Friedrichshafen has some excellent food options (including icecream) down by the lake.

Re: Weekend break from Geneva this weekend?

great, not too much driving, weather was a bit iffy but managable.

Legoland was better and bigger than i expected.. however couldnt get on many of the rides with a 1 year old. I think between 4 and 5 is the perfect age to go so will certainly go back! Monkey park was good too , perfect distance from Geneva. Made our way back via Metzingen outlet and then through zurich and home, no more than 3 hours drive per day so perfect.

cheers
