Seeking suggestions - mountain hike for Memorial reflection

I am hoping some of you can help with suggestions. Sadly, my Grandmother recently passed away and I am unable to return to the US for her funeral this coming Wednesday, Aug 3. I would like to find a place to hike up and light a candle in rememberance at the time the funeral will be occuring.

I am looking to avoid commercialized summits and need to be able to safely hike back down as light fades. I just want to be alone on the rocks to reflect on my memories of her.

I have proper gear, some experience in the wilderness and my fitness level is average for upper- 30's. I have a car so I can drive to a starting point or take public transport.

One thought was the Funf Seen hike near Pizol, though I have done it before and would rather have a new destination to share with Grandma.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Re: Seeking suggestions - mountain hike for Memorial reflection

How about the Murgsee. You can drive up to the car park P1 and then there's a walking loop (probably 3-4 hours) with some beautiful views. It feels quite remote and desolate. At the See, there's a very basic restaurant where you can have a drink and something to eat. You'll certainly be able to find somewhere to spend some time alone, either beside one of the lakes, or on the Murgseefurggel (or Wiedersteinerfurggel if you wanted to walk a bit further). The walk back down from the See is on a wider path and so would be OK in fading light.

Cheers
