I especially enjoyed the one where you go up standing on a conveyor belt and at the top they give you a mat to sit on and slide down a spiral helter-skelter. Did it in a Dirndl too. | | | | | Be sure to wear a jumper when you go down the slide. I had the most wicked arm burns for a week after due to the wood varnished slide friction |

If anyone is headed that way from Basel / headed through Basel on the way back AND happens to come across a plushie wolpertinger, ich hät gern! (could you bring one back for me pretty please?)
If you've never heard of them, it should be something along this line (but plushie): |

Never seen a "plushie" one (and, considering I have about 200 Steiff plushies, I would have one if they existed), but have seen many "real" ones in Munich and such!

I'm sure you could use it as a hat, though. It looks quite cosy. | The following 3 users would like to thank for this useful post:

Lisa, you've probably heard about "Jackalopes" in the US, I remember them being a big thing in Colorado, not sure about points further south... wolpertingers are a kind of European version of them.
Here is a jackalope (photo found here):
Now, I'm not sure what's the deal with the wings on the wolpertingers (perhaps it just has to do with drunkeness) but the horns have been explained as being huge warts gone wild on hpv infected rabbits. | This user would like to thank Peg A for this useful post:

Wolpertingers are rare. Still, there are Puli-Labs. Contact me if you need one.

I actually have one called "Jake the Singing Jacklope" He can be hung on the wall or just sit on the table. Jake is motion activated causing him to sing and move his head. My great dane was very scared of it and use to run when I would turn him on. To make a 120 lb dog tuck tail and run because of a tiny bunny was the best party trick ever. I collect jacklopes and now that I know of these distant German cousins, I'm on the hunt! I don't know how I've missed them all these years...

Just as a heads up, on 27th September Bayern play Manchester City and the numbers of visitors will be swelled by a few thousand football supporters on the 26th, 27th and 28th. You may wish to avaoid, or join in.
Unfortunately 27th is also the family day where many things are planned for families and Children especially, hope there are no problems to spoil the fun for the kids.
I really enjoyed my visit but it can get a little bit boisterous later in the evening.
