| | Chinese Embassy in Bern
I need to get a visa for China. This involves two trips to Bern - one to drop off my passport and application form and again a few days later to collect the visa.
This doesn't have to be done in person but can't be done by post.
Is there anyone else who has to go to the Chinese embassy (or one nearby) who'd like to take or collect both, with me making the other trip?
I know Bern is lovely, but once every now and again is fine. Plus it'll save the train fare.

Cool - I thought this thread would just die a quick death of indifference.
J_T - thanks. The consulate in Zurich is only available for those who live in Zurich when I last checked it out online.
Ittigen - wow, thanks! I may take you up on that. We could meet when I drop the application off so I can buy you a drink in advance appreciation. I'll let you know.
Chipscaviar (my tastes are basic) - I need it by November so any time between now and end of October works for me.

There's no KFC in Bern. And the event would need to be a weekday morning!

For you I would, but I've no reason to go down that way anytime in the foreseeable future. Sorry mate.

Or maybe you mean you can post it there, but they will not post it back?

Or maybe you mean you can post it there, but they will not post it back? | | | | | It doesn't have to be done in person - in other words, anyone can go and drop off an application on behalf of anyone else. Can't be posted to them and they won't post back.

If you can mail it to me, I also can drop it off and send it back. It's very close to where I work.

I'm back from my short trip to the UK so can now live without my passport for a few days.
I plan to go to Bern tomorrow morning (embassy shuts at 12). If anyone fancies meeting me for a coffee after then, that'd be great. And if you can make the weather warm and sunny, please do.
