An American Dream ?

a.k.a.... a reason to visit , or not , the Valais ( personally I knew there was something wrong with the people up there )

http://lens.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/1...q=dream&st=cse

".......Swiss-born photographer Yann Gross captured another view of Switzerland, set in a part of the Rhone Valley most travelers bypass.

For about 50 years, inhabitants of the area have been fascinated by American culture ........."

Re: An American Dream ?

Many (?) - some? - Swiss have a real passion for the US "Wild West" and Americana-style stuff.

It is nothing new and was well documented in the books I read when I moved here a while back. One example is in the silly cars they import (i.e. not suitable to European roads).
