Lake Ganeva regio pass this week.

Hello EF!

Does anyone have any favourite places to visit around this time of year?

I have some friends visiting this week from London (some of us have the half price card, the others will have the 'regio pass' for Lake Geneva), but we're prepared to travel outside of this region for anything particularly exciting! Relatively open to suggestions - Rochers-de-Naye was wonderful this time last year, but I'm looking for something new...

Please feel free to recommend any of your favourite haunts!

Come to sunny Evian and see where the water comes from! Lovely little town - very welcoming inhabitants and beautiful, flowered promenade.
Alternatively, if you do not mind aircraft noise, Nernier and Yvoire are well worth a visit, although the latter is always full of tourists. There is a nature reserve at Le Bouveret right at the other end of the lake, as well as the Swiss Vapeur Park for old and young children alike.

It's slightly outside of your area (not sure how far the pas covers you), but a combined excusrion to Gruyères for lunch, then the thermal baths at Charmey would fill a day nicely.

Re: Lake Geneva regio pass this week.

Great suggestions, thanks! The Pass is something I've only just discovered, actually, but it's quite a cheap way of travelling for those who don't have the AG/Half price or Voie 7 and it covers a relatively large area, too - http://www.goldenpass.ch/common/zoom...ieldname=File1
