Hi, you do not mention if you have to use public transport or whether you have your own transport. Also say whether you have any specific dietary requirements and how mobile you are or not, example; will you have problems with steps, can you ride a bike

Re: 8 Days iternary

Why travel to Geneva every day? Just to go to Zurich is 3 hours trip one way.

Re: 8 Days iternary

  • Bern (for the old city, bears, views and cause it's an awesome city )
  • Luzern (Switzerland's tourist hotspot, old city, funny bridges, quick connections to local mountains.)
  • Montreux (Chateau de Chillion, Swiss Riviera plus views of the moutains and Lac Leman.)

Eh for now.

The restriction of having to return to Geneva every evening means that you will not be able to make the most of the travel ticket. For example the Glacier Express is a classic trip to take, but without a stop over it would be very difficult to enjoy. Why not allow for a couple of overnights, it should be possible to find reasonable hotel accommodation for around CHF 100 per night.

Re: 8 Days iternary

my suggestion is the following,

Day 1 : Lucern , walk around the city and then take a boat ride to fullen and then come back by train ,wilhelm tell express

Day 2: Mount titlis , you can stay in lucern and do this trip from there, it will take you approx 5 to 6 hours total.

Day 3 : Zurich , short train ride from lucern , you can go to utliberg , china garden, neiderdorf and bahnofstrasse. stay in zurich

Day 4 : Bernina express, stay in zurich

Day 5 : golden pass express , you can see the french part.

Day 6 : spend the day in Interlakhen

Day 7 : Basel zoo or Bern

If you need to travel back to geneva everyday then it will be too tiring for you and you will spend more time in train rather than sightseeing.

Cheers

Don't miss Montreux, and the train ride between Montreux and Gruyeres is incredible!

Re: 8 Days iternary

As everyone else said, being based in Geneva makes it difficult.

One other place not mentioned so far would be to go to Zermatt to see the Matterhorn (go to the gornegrat). It's about 3.5 hours (one way) from either Zurich or Geneva.

Re: 8 Days iternary

In the Swiss-German part there are lots of spectacular, nature tours. Last year we visited the Trummelbach Falls (in the valley of 72 falls). First time in our lives we saw numerous waterfalls inside a mountain. It was breathtaking! Also around the area there are many hiking trails.

There is also the Swiss Italian part: Lugano and Lucarno. Take the special train (windows are higher and wider so you see the panoramic view outside) that will take you through the Cento Valle. The view is beautiful. You will pass and see several waterfalls, deep gorges, thick green forests, etc.
