Suspension bridge at Trift glacier

Hi hi,

We plan to head to Trift suspension bridge coming Saturday (30th June). I have had a look at the routes here: http://www.trift.ch/trift/naturerlebnis.php.
From the link, I gather than it is routes 1 and 3 that would take us to the bridge (a total of 3.5 hours). Has anyone done this before and if so, please advice my understanding is right.
Also, route 1 starts from the Talstation. Is this the same as the Nessental Triftbahn? We do not plan to take the bahn but hike all the way up and down.
Please let me know if this sounds correct or if I have overlooked something.

Any one who wishes to join may also do so. Just PM me. We still need to fix the time to start from Basel

Ciao.

Re: Suspension bridge at Trift glacier

hi,

route 1+3+4 then on the return we took 2+the unmarked route (dotted line) on the left side of the valley. This was doable in october 2011 - and yes, we did not take the cable car either and got back in good time for a bus to tkae us home.
Frankly I do not remember the postauto stop name, but with a bit of searching on this forum for sure you'll find it, though i presume there are not many triftbahn stops.

enjoy it and have some nice weather,
adam

Re: Suspension bridge at Trift glacier

We infact did this last Saturday The weather was perfect. We did the same route like you and oh dear dear, it was a thorough workout. The suspension bridge indeed was simply great. Well worth the hike ....

The Postauto stop is Nessental Triftbahn.
