Toblerone Factory Tours

Are there any Toblerone factory tours available? If so, where can I get more information?

Re: Toblerone Factory Tours

Not that I know of..but the Nestle/Cailler factory near Gruyeres does an excellent tour. Very 'sensory' and they are pretty serious about the chocolate tasting...

Re: Toblerone Factory Tours

I don't think they do factory tours, but this is the factory, near "Westside" shopping centre

UPDATE:

This is the reply I received from Kraft Foods:

Dear Mr. RJL,

thank you very much for your interest in a plant tour. We are delighted that you have an interest in our production processes. Surely you would be amazed about the effort we pursue for having our products in such a proper and savoury grade you are used to.
This gentle processing of the raw material into a faultless product is only possible under closed conditions. Since only special equipped and trained personnel gets close to the raw material we can produce such an immaculate product we all demand and the law requires.
Therefore plant tours are unfortunately not possible. We thank you for your understanding. Further information about our plants are available at our Website www.toblerone.ch
For queries we are at your disposal. You can reach us at anytime through the contact form on our homepage. Please name your contact number S-2053915 in the email form, if you have any requests.

With kind regards,

Re: Toblerone Factory Tours

About 12 years ago, before the Toblerone factory was sold to Kraft, the previous owners gave away free chocolate every year, 4 weeks before Christmas! Each person was limited to 500 grammes, quite a generous offer you might think. BUT, some people complained: the chocolate bars were sometimes broken, and would the factory please exchange the broken bar for a good one... and the factory understandably stopped giving the broken chocolate away.
