Re: Migros and SBB Day Card ( Tageskarte ) CHF44

Just invested in 4 of these little darlings, thank you jrspet for highlighting the offer; our local Migros had sold out yesterday morning so some trundling around was called for. Now, where to go........ wine tasting and delicious pasta in Ticino? Mountain walking in Graubünden? Choices choices....

Re: Migros and SBB Day Card ( Tageskarte ) CHF44

I have a (perhaps) dumb question. In our little town we just have bus service, so there isn't the orange time-stamp validater box. I do believe they have some on the buses for tickets (maybe blue?), will these work as well, or are they only valid from train/tram stops?

Thanks so much!

Thanks for the heads up that they were starting to sell out! I went to our local Migros (Kernstrasse) and they only had one left. The Migros at Limmatstrasse still seems to have plenty.

I believe these will work - they should stamp something like [Stop Name/Bus Number] / Date / Time

I'm not sure about the ones on the buses but it does say on the back of the ticket that if a machine is not available the date should be written in biro in the space for the date.

Re: Migros and SBB Day Card ( Tageskarte ) CHF44

I used one of mine yesterday for the trip I outlined above. I even managed a tour of the lake in Lugano, the tageskarte giving me a 50% discount on the cost. I got on my first train at 9am and got off my last one at 22:14, so well worth it.

Train, bus, boat.....apart from cable-car, did I miss any other form of transport I could have used it on?

Thanks for the heads-up about these Jrspet. I may have missed them otherwise.

Re: Migros and SBB Day Card ( Tageskarte ) CHF44

JR can you please tell me where you're getting an English site for Migros? I only get choices for German, French and Italian. English would be suuuuuuper handy! Thanks.

Re: Migros and SBB Day Card ( Tageskarte ) CHF44

It is not an EN site for Migros but rather a DE Migros site translated into EN by my browser Google Chrome, making it somewhat easier to get a screenshot and attach on here.

Re: Migros and SBB Day Card ( Tageskarte ) CHF44

Yes it can. You have to only pay for the seat reservation per leg.

Observations
GA, half-rate season ticket, day tickets and junior ticket are valid

"maybe a stupid question, but can it be used on the Bernina xpress?"

Not the express itself but should work for the cheap version of just taking the normal train on that route but then without the wine in the panorama wagon

These are available if asked at the Customer Service Desk, not at the check out till. If in doubt, print out the attachment and show them

Re: Migros and SBB Day Card ( Tageskarte ) CHF44

I managed to get a few of these - I've got family visiting in the near future so they seemed like a great idea! Thanks for the heads up. Anyone have any interesting trips planned? I'm based in Lausanne and hoping to head to the Aletsch Glacier, and maybe the Jungfrau (not on the same day though!)

Re: Migros and SBB Day Card ( Tageskarte ) CHF44

This Migros Tageskarte is also a little bit different in the sense that it offers at least 10% discount on some entrance fees, thus adding for more value.

Basel Zoo and so on as listed in the smaller booklet ( in DE, FR and IT ).

Re: Migros and SBB Day Card ( Tageskarte ) CHF44

I'm going to try and get one on Monday. It's very unlikely anywhere will have one left, but it serves me right for not bothering to buy one earlier.
