Rhine Falls

is it too late in the year (second week of october) to visit Rhine Falls?
is it worth it or there are better things to choose in or near Zurich (when you have only 1 full day to spend)

Appreciate advice.

Re: Rhine Falls

They are indeed impressive but I think they are at their most "gushy" in the spring when the winter melt is cascading down. I've been in October and it is truly spectacular but I can imagine it's mental in the spring.

Re: Rhine Falls

Yes they are worth it. I enjoyed them and am looking forward to returning to do some more boat trips & walking around looking at the large fishes.

You will need a pair of walking shoes and if possible something a little water proof. A week ago here it was cold, started to use the heating a bit a couple of days. Past couple of days has been warm again

It should be fine, but if in doubt, check the weather here: meteocentrale
