I should mention that I live in canton Aargau, usually these laws change depending on one's address.

Drone Aerial Video of some nice castles in Switzerland

Hi everyone,

My husband and I love discovering nice areas of Switzerland. He loves video shooting and I love photography. Below are some home-made aerial videos we made recently of some of the nice castles near our place. (Never mind the logo in the videos, we just thought we could have a place to put all our videos and photos. It's not even a finished website....)

Hope this can spark some nice ideas for a day trip for you. I especially like the Neu-Falkenstein, a ruined castle and publicly open.

Please let us know some other nice locations that you know that could be a nice shot for our drone DJI Phantom 4. It could be a building, a structure, a small village, etc.

Lana and Cedi

How about the Wikipedia reference-linkRuinaulta in Flims? Place of a massive rockslide about 10.000 years ago. I got a great view of it hiking, but if the drone starts from the bottom and films it, it would make a great film...

Re: Drone Aerial Video of some nice castles in Switzerland

There is a beautiful castle that I pass on the road from Vuiteboeuf to Orbe in Canton VD - there are no signs to it so I am not sure if it is open to the general public but it reminds me of Snow Whites castle - it has 4 turrets and is quite spectacular - next time I go past it i will stop and investigate.

Wow, thanks!!!!! that's beautiful! Reminds me of the hourseshoe in the US. We will definitely go and check it out one Saturday with our drone. It is far from us, so not really an evening trip

Is it car accessible area? or we have to hike to there like you?

The village and castle of Gruyère are very picturesque, sat atop a small hill just outside Bulle.

We try to look for it from Google map.... didn't really find it. If you could let us know the result of your investigation, that would be wonderful!!

Thanks, smackerjack.

Yes, I have been there and it is on our list of place to video.
Thanks a lot!

We love places that are especially not very famous. I think Switzerland has a lot of areas that are amazing but seldom got on the spot light.

definitely a nice castle. But unfortunately Sion is a no fly zone due to the small airstrip.

Re: Drone Aerial Video of some nice castles in Switzerland

How about something different then like the post modern design of the Bern Westside center?

As an added bonus is there a nudist terrace on top, but apparently some other drone pilot figured that out already: http://www.bernerzeitung.ch/region/b...story/10238259

Lol....... haha, we don't really want to get into trouble. People here are very much concerned with privacy. We encountered people who said: if you don't get it down, I'm gonna shot it down......

But mostly we get curious children and welcoming people. Even one time we had a grandma sitting with us and looking at us flying and videoing.
