Patrouille Suisse - Training schedule

Hi all,

According to the official website of Patrouille Suisse, they are in full training at the moment and are planning some training sessions in Emmen for the coming 2 days:

Does anyone know where a good spot is to go and watch?

Thanks!

Re: Patrouille Suisse - Training schedule

No idea but they were pretty impressive flying over us yesterday and one day last week too. I guess from your link it must have been Bellechasse. ( yep yesterday and last Thursday)
I was all ready to complain about the noise until I wrnt outside and saw what they were actually doing.

One other question, do they train, even when raining / cloudy weather?

Last week it was a beautiful day and yesterday it was very cloudy and rained most of the day so I guess the answer to that is yes.

Re: Patrouille Suisse - Training schedule

When we had a place up on Mount Rigi (above the Vierwaldstättesee) we often had a grandstand view of them training above the lake and towards the Buochs/Stanstaad area. I was told that they were based at Emmen during the summer months but saw nothing official to confirm as much.

But you could enjoy a nice day up the mountain in the hope of spotting them in training???

I have a pretty good view from my balcony ... we are fairly close to Emmen and Lake Zug so see them come over quite regularly.

Yes, I was there before asking here. But there is just the schedule. I am asking about good places to watch the trainings from. I read all the comments and found nothing.

Re: Patrouille Suisse - Training schedule

Those living on South shore of Lake Neuchâtel, and all around are getting a bit fed up with the training over that wilder part of the lake- the noise is unberable apparently, and all the bird reserves are full of courting and nesting birds. Apparently that part of the lake is littered with tons of spent ammo- causing concern for pollution.

A couple of days ago, near Chasseral NE of the lake they were practising helicopter rescue of live horses - poor things. But must have been quite a sight.
