The Hobbit - John Howe

Just found out that John Howe, the Canadian illlustrator/scene maker for the Hobbit lives in the Neuchâtel Jura. If you and children are interested in Tolkien and Middle Earth (any Brummies out there?)- John's work on Tolkien's fims is exhibited at the Maison d'Ailleurs Museum-Gallery in the centre of Yverdon until January. Will be taking the grand-children there during the hols. (until May 2015).

He's pretty active and regularly attends Tolkien and fantasy events and greets and chats with fans. I have several items that were autographed by him.

Just a reminder for all those who love Middle Earth (and have a thick wallet): the Greisinger Museum in Jenins, GR. See here too.

Haven't seen it yet, although it's right around the corner.

Re: The Hobbit - John Howe

Hi all,
Just to post a big thanks for highlighting the Maison d’Ailleurs, we went along with our 11 & 8 year old kids yesterday and we all really enjoyed it. My wife had trouble getting me and the kids out of the place, great museum, exhibits and galleries, well worth a visit!

There's no such thing. Nor males, come to that. They're created, not born.
