Great list. Thank you.
I can suggest Wasserfallenbahn in Reigoldswill. Good for families in Basel. http://www.wasserfallenbahn.ch/en/ |

I'd recommend the indoor dinosaur museum in Aathal (ZH). The place looks kind of small from outside, but it is huge inside, they have great exhibitions and a small movie theater as well with documentaries.

Not sure if this is the place to place a "review", please excuse me if it's the wrong place!
Took my 16 month old son to topolino today, it was really quiet for a Saturday morning - we hung out from 11am till 2pm and during this time only 2 girls came in to play for a short while!
There was a party later in the day.
The place is pretty spacious since we were the old people but i imagine it would get crowded if there's more kids. Things are visibly used but seem quite ok - not sure about the standard of other places as we haven't been to any here in switzerland.
We noted that they tried to pad the wall edges but some of them were not replaced after being torn off and many of the balls in the ball pit were broken.
We took the bus to get there and it was a short walk and simple enough with google maps.
The little cafe had a variety of snacks and drinks. http://www.topolino-pratteln.ch/ |

We often get a slightly stiff "why didn't we go to Aathal this weekend" on Sunday evenings. I's an obligatory excursion when we have small guests.

I would like to recommend Lac d'Emmoson: http://verticalp-emosson.ch/en/
You take three means of transportation up from Le Chatelard (between Martigny and Chamonix), starting with a very very very steep (don't worry, not at all scary) funicular, then an almost toy train, and finally a short funky funicular. The whole ride takes about 40 minutes and there are beautiful views of Mont Blanc on the way. At the end is a big dam (very impressive, though Grand Dixence is much better) and you can walk around the lake and stuff. Kids will love the whole trip.
Another few things I'd like to mention around Lausanne/Geneva -
Lausanne has the Espace d'Inventions, which is a hands-on science museum for kids. I've taken my toddler there three times and she loves it, even though she's too young to understand the scientific part. The other thing she really liked was the zoology museum in Rumine Palace. Great stuffed animals.
Both of these museums are free on the first Saturday of the month!
The other thing I wanted to mention was the Museum of Natural History in Geneva. It's a really fine museum, completely free. The stuffed animals are really nice and the two-headed turtle (yes, alive and crawling around) is a sight to see.

Thanks for the list!
We recommend the Swiss miniature village in Melide. http://www.swissminiatur.ch/en/
It's a lot of fun for the family to explore together, and is open every day of the week. You can follow it up with a picnic by Lake Lugano.

We are based in Luzern and have to endorse the swiss transport museum https://www.verkehrshaus.ch/ they always have something different on for example this weekend they have had an Air display over the museum. We really think its good value for money too (even for Switzerland)

Wondering how many visits it will take before Junior (and guests coming to visit us) stop requesting That we spend a day there. I haven't gone through all the previous posts, but I found a great link if you're not aware of this blog: http://www.momstotszurich.com
I don't even have kids here in Switzerland and I'm not resident in Zurich; however it's a great resource of things to do and places to go. It's very useful if you have visitors (grandparents or people who aren't very fit, or perhaps for new mums or are pregnant) as there are tips and ideas for easy walks.
I also discovered this place today, a sculpture park in Dietikon, between Zurich and Bremgarten, AG (it had apparently closed down for some time but has opened to the public again) and I saw lots of children enjoying themselves there: http://www.brunoweberpark.ch/#home |

Hi,
Last year we did a golden tour on Pilatus. Was wery nice and also for children. Would say so 4+ years old. Starting with ship from Luzern, cogwheel train then walking up to the top and back with a cable car with stops on play yard, bob trail and other activyties. Was very nice.

We live in Eschenbach, SG. My additional suggestions for around here are:
Jucker Farm Bachlihof. In Jona-Rapperswil
Cafe Good, Rapperswil (small place for kids to play while you enjoy your coffee)
Spring Dings indoor soft play in Reichenburg
Paradissimo indoor soft play in Pfäffikon SZ
My kids also love to ride on their scooters at skateboard parks. There is a great one at the Linth Arena near Glarus, but you can find ones all over Switzerland at www.sk8parks.ch
We also love the Forest fitness courses. Check out www.zurichvitaparcours.ch
Don't be fooled by the name, they are sponsored by Zürich insurance but are across Switzerland.
Enjoy!
