Re: Family Friendly places to visit in Switzerland

if you live in zurich, you can take a day trip to visit the aareschlucht. very cool area to be in. basically its a gorge along the aare in bern. it's near brienz. love it there. advice: go early in the morning to avoids crowds while walking along the gorge.

Are you travelling by yourself, friends, with kids, wife? What are your interests?

Many resorts might be open for skiing or sledging this weekend.

You need to tap in a few more details otherwise nobody will know what to suggest.

Welcome to the forum. But this is called English Forum for a reason, most members here don't speak German

But for a start, read this and other similar threads, loads of suggestions for you are already here.

Re: Family Friendly places to visit in Switzerland

Spent a wonderful weekend in Gruyère camping, light hiking & swimming. It was incredible weather, picturesque and the Gorges de la Jogne was a great adventure for the kids. Been saying this a lot in the past year, camping can be great in Switzerland

Re: Family Friendly places to visit in Switzerland

Another family friendly place to visit in near Zurich is Lake Pfäffikon. In Pfäffikon ZH city on the lake shore there's a playground for kids. There's always lots of birds/ducks to see on the lake. There's a nature center (free entrance) a few minutes walk from there, everything is in German but they have a leaflet in English and French (ask the staff). Kids often love it. And of course the lake itself is wonderful, it's a nice place to go for an easy hike.

Re: Family Friendly places to visit in Switzerland

We have been on holidays in Valais and found a great place for kids near Evionnaz: https://www.labyrinthe.ch/ . I wish we had something like that near Zurich.

Since Bellenberg is in Bavaria, Germany, did you perhaps mean Ballenberg and its Freilichtmuseum in Berner Oberland instead?
