Eurail & Interrail

I want information about Eurail and Interrail. What I understood from the respective site is:

Eurail is for those who is not Citizen of a european country.
Interrail is for those who is citizen or resident of european country.

I am citizend of an Asian country and have been living in Switzerland for about 1.5 years (L permit both times). Am I eligible for both? What is your experience?

Looking at the site, Eurail sells ticket for global/two country/four country and so on. Suppose if I purchase a ticket Switzerland-France, am I allowed to travel from Swiss-to-France without any further fee?

Also, for Interrail the ticket is either global or a single country. Suppose I purchase ticket for France. What will happen for the jounrey Switzerland -> France?

Having said that, is there any better tricks to travel to say France / Italy etc neighboring countries?

Re: Eurail & Interrail

You have to pay a (hefty) seat reservation fee with the eurail interrail ticket.
